The hull design and external appearance has changed little over the years except for the development of the 'Ketch' style Gulet that has a squared off stern and raised rear deck to accommodate up to four cabins below. It is the 'old fashioned' look of Gulets that makes them so appealing and much sought after as a holiday home on the sea or an investment opportunity in the growing Gulet Charter business in Turkey. International Yacht Charter companies are also discovering the romantic appeal of the Turkish Gulet, re-flagged and exported to another country a Gulet becomes the center of attraction in any harbor or marina alongside its more modern looking cousins. But appearances can be deceptive, beneath the traditional outward appearance on more recent models you will find all the amenities found on any modern yacht plus the added bonus of space, a commodity lacking on many modern yachts. Cabins are usually large with full sized double or twin beds. For chartering or personal use as a second home, Gulet sizes range from 18 meters (60ft) to over 32 meters (105ft) in length and have from 4 to 12 double cabins all with en-suite bathroom facilities. Gulet buying is as seasonal as the Gulet Chartering business. Most Gulets for sale continue working until sold, which makes the main buying season from October to April when most Gulets are either at berth or on land for checking and routine maintenance. Of course there are Gulets available for immediate delivery at any time of the year, though during the summer season there are fewer viewing opportunities. In association with our parent company Aegean Tour Travel, we can if required prepare an inspection visit and viewing itinerary as well as all travel and accommodation arrangements. Many new Gulet owners soon outgrow their first purchase
and wish to move on to bigger and better yachts.
